This is a rich treat and definitely not for everyday eating.
2 litres gluten free vanilla icecream
100g gluten free white marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
6 red glace cherries
6 gluten free chocolate biscuits
HOT CHOCOLATE SAUCE:
200g dark chocolate
1/2 cup cream
Spoon icecream into six serving dishes, top with hot chocolate sauce, marshmallows, nuts, cherries and biscuits.
Hot Chocolate Sauce: Combine dark chocolate and cream in bowl and microwave for 1 minute. (1000watt microwave). Mix together until smooth.
This was a great pick me up dessert – I love chocolate, but did find it quite rich. I used 70% cocoa chocolate. You could put it in a pretty sundae glass if you want to impress, but I am just a home cook, and a pretty rustic one at that. As there is only R and me at home I divided the recipe by thirds to make a serving for each of us.
