Broad Beans

Broad Beans

Yesterday we planted these broad bean plants that a friend had given me. We also planted some pea seeds as peas seem to grow well here. R (my son) put some worm tea on them and we were pleased we got them in before it rained. I enjoy broad beans now I know how to do them properly. Years ago when I first tried them I didn’t know about taking the outer shell off and they looked all grey and horrible and tasted very tough!! These days google is my friend when I have a cooking query, but I didn’t have a computer back then.
